Behind every Elimu Àfrica charity stall lie many hours of handiwork. A group of friends and supporters of the association make one-of-a-kind items and donate them to us so that we can sell them. Everything we raise goes to our main project: the home and school in Nairobi.

Handmade, piece by piece

Glass bottles hand-painted and lit from inside, crocheted figures and keyrings, little yarn dolls with pompoms, decorated jars, bags made from Mallorcan ‘robes de llengües’ fabric, painted fans, macramé bracelets… Every piece is different and carries the enthusiasm of the person who made it.

At the stall you will also find second-hand items that have been donated to us.

Where to find us

On the third Saturday of every month we are at the second-hand market in Plaça de Barcelona, Palma.

We also set up the stall at churches whenever the opportunity arises and the parish priest invites us. So far we have been at several churches in Inca, in Sa Ràpita and in S’Estanyol de Migjorn.

The crafts album

The photos in this article are just a sample. In the album we keep you will find many more of our supporters’ creations, and we update it as new ones arrive.

Thank you to all the hands that make the stall possible. If you would like to help by making crafts or donating items, write to us at info@solidariaelimuafrica.org or discover other ways to get involved.
